SELF AT HAND—Written by Jack Hanley. Designed and directed by Christopher Eaves. SELF AT HAND is a post-tragic trilogy that snares the watcher in a future gone round the bend as it lyrically conjures stories of people living in a world where humans can only be distinguished from androids by the taste of their flesh; a world where celebrities are federally regulated, and unregulated ones are executed. It is a time when cell phones are embedded in the neck, when parts of the brain can be removed to eradicate fear conditioning, when corpses are artificially animated for their funeral. Hilarity and cruetly clash in this post-natural time of see-through plastic skulls surgically implanted so we can see ourselves seeing ourselves.

The play includes THE MYTH OF NOT TO BE (Module I), TASTES LIKE ROBOT (Module II) and SELF AT HAND (Module III). The three modules were developed both separately and concurrently over a three year course.
